Top spenders in Romanian online advertising in 2007

AdEvolution made a top regarding the online spenders in Romanian online advertising. The data comes from direct clients and agencies.

NOTE: the figures shown below are based on the rate-card costs (the actual figures are lower because of the discounts).

The top involved 363 small and medium companies and the budgets were directed towards display advertising, viral marketing, contextual advertising, direct emailing, newsletter advertising, unconventional exposure (e-branding, video-insert etc).

Here are the figures (in EURO) showing a 14,7 million EUR Internet advertising market in Romania:
1. Banking – 2.560.000 EUR
2. Personal care/Beauty – 2.120.000 EUR
3. IT – 1.740.000 EUR
4. FMCG – 1.160.000 EUR
5. Auto – 1.050.000 EUR
6. Telecoms – 1.200.000 EUR
7. Real estate – 850.000 EUR
8. Insurances – 900.000 EUR
9. Other FMCG/services – 680.000 EUR
10. Electronics – 450.000 EUR
11. Media&marketing – 375.000 EUR
12. Tourism – air operators – 450.000 EUR
13. Household products – 375.000 EUR
14. Detergents – 240.000 EUR
15. Shopping and entertainment – 200.000 EUR
16. Oil and oil services – 180.000 EUR
17. Medical services – 100.000 EUR
18. Pharmaceutical – 90.000 EUR

Some domains of the top could be included easily in FMCG but it’s nice to have extra information. Another thing that it’s not shown (or maybe hidden among figures) are the money invested in the political campaigns this year (spring/autumn).
