Our approach was discreet and we didn’t want to make a big fuzz over this but since Valentin Petcu (romanian blogger) managed to get a copy of my e-mail to third parties and published it on his blog (thank you for promoting this issue and backing us in the fight against piracy), here are some info on the matter.
Our lawyers started to notify the following websites in order to stop uploading TV shows or broadcast online streams from Antena1, Antena2, Antena3, Antena International, EuforiaTv and GspTV:
Our colleagues from prosport.ro will also receive a request to stop promoting piracy and warez websites.
Some of them already complied with our request and will be kindly asked to share information regarding their traffic, users and revenues. Over 90% of the websites are owned by companies that operate in Romania and we anticipate a smooth cooperation and a strong partnership in the fight against online piracy.
Please note that some of the websites were exploiting the search results in order to distribute malware and viruses. A second list is under construction – if you have informations about pirates, please contact me – your help was, is and will be very much appreciated!
