Yahoo! is no.1 on the e-mail market in Romania but Google still wants a big slice of the pie. First it was the partnership with the universities and the launch of Google Apps and today I saw a new press release announcing that Romtelecom (one of the biggest phone operators in Romania) will introduce Gmail to all its Clicknet subscribers – the same Google Apps platform but with mobile features.
Note: Romtelecom has 500.000 ADSL clients and over 2.900.000 terestrial phone lines (june 2008) in Romania.
